What a therapy session with me is like

Each session with the Merida psychologist lasts approximately 50 minutes. During that time, we explore what you’re experiencing, identify patterns, work on strategies, and move toward your goals. Therapy can be in person or online, depending on your needs.

In the first session, you tell me what brings you to therapy. Then we explore your symptoms, emotions, and context. After that, we define realistic and achievable goals, and I explain how we will work together and what you can expect from the process.

From there, each session becomes a space for reflection, learning, and transformation.

How Is ASD Diagnosed? Unlike other medical conditions, there is no laboratory test or blood analysis that can confirm autism. Diagnosis is based on observing the person’s development and behavior. This can be complemented with certain psychometric tests; however, these are

Anxiety is the body’s natural response to stress, but when it becomes excessive and persistent, it turns into a disorder that affects daily life. If you experience anxiety symptoms that significantly impact your life, it’s important to seek

Families don’t relate to who you are now, they relate to who you had to be then. The responsible one, the pacemaker, the easy one, the problem solver, the one who got blamed, the truth speaker or the one who didn’t need much. Those roles
